Incorporated as a general law City in 1964 and a Charter City in 2003, Norco is known as "Horse Town U.S.A.".  Situated along the Interstate 15 Freeway in Western Riverside County, north of the city of Corona, which is where it gets it's name, Norco.  The City limits cover an area of approximately 15 square miles, with a population of approximately 26,703 as of January 2005.  Residents enjoy over 400 acres of parkland and 95 miles of pedestrian/equestrian trails.  Norco has become the Inland Empire's most expensive residential community.  Most all the the land lots in Norco are half acre, there are a few exceptions if the land was sold before the city ordinance.  If you want to live in a rural atmosphere, Norco is the right place.  The schools in Norco are highly rated.

Norco sponsors a Rodeo that is known throughout the United States and World.  There are no sidewalks in Norco, only horse trails.  Norco is a valley with hills along its eastern border and the Santa Ana River follows along its northern border above its river bluff.  The area is not altogether flat, though some areas are not hilly at all.  There are many horse trails that follow along the river's path.
